B4-RSK parts?

A friend of mine has just brought himself 2 1999 Legacy B4-RSK's,
damaged from japan, one is stoved in the front the other has caught
on fire from the rear.

He plans to use parts form each for one damn decent car, now I have
dibs on some of the parts for my RS. I'll get the factory 17" wheels
and put them on, I was planning on the front seats as well.

Can anyone suggest any other parts I may want to get my hands on, I
was possibly thinking Breaks, perhaps the intercooler, how would the
factory Bilstien suspension from the B4 fit my RS?

Any sugestions or ideas would be great.

Cheers
Quin

The bilstein suspension just fits straight in, I am using those on
one of my Subaru's, damn awesome handling. If the RSK-B4 has alloy
front suspension arms grab those.

Auto or manual?, if it is manual you want the gear box.

If you are up to it you could pinch the secondary turbo, which is a
roller bearing type, and replace your current turbo. You have to be
careful with these turbo's because if you don't have enough back
pressure in the exhaust to the cat's the turbo will over rev and
destroy itself.

Why don't you put the entire motor, trans and drive mech. into your
RS, you will then have 205Kw of power

Dan, thanks for the help.

OK Suspension, good I was hopping that would fit, the parts car is hit
pretty hard in that front left cnr and the strut tower is bent so
hopefully the arms etc are OK.

Yeah it is a Manual, so what would I gain from the Gbox? would it slot
right in?

As for the Motor trans and drive train, hmm probably would be too much
work involved for me and I don't have alot of cash at the moment, is
it a big job?

Thanks again for your help, can't wait will look awsome with the new
wheels, hopefully can salvage the suspension so she'll handle great,
just need that exhaust now!

Cheers

With two people, ordinary jacks and axle stands, shouldn't really
take longer than two days.

No point changing the arms, they may also be bent then.

As for the bilstein strut's, they are inserts so it is very unlikely
that the inserts are bent the shafts front and rear are 40mm, so
check it out further. You would need to get the inserts removed and
get a sock shop to replace your existing shaft's, with the bilstein
inserts.

Yes the gear box should just slot in, you should also get the clutch
slave cylinder (slightly different shape) and pressure plate
(stronger than RS or Legacy Turbo)
Check the gear ratio's the RSK B4 came in two types 4.1:1 and 4.4:1
So you may need to replace the rear diff, do not use the twin turbo
diff, pain in the ass to install the drive axles are a different
lengths. If 4.4:1 try to locate a WRX one that will fit straight in
with the splined removable inner CV case.

The twin turbo ones the CV's are part of the diff.
