Did a quick search and didn't get much. Went to pick up a 1991 SS. Car would start but wouldn't go from Park. Tried what I'd assume the shift interlock is, and nithing.

Mine gets stuck in park too. The shift lock override gets stuck as well. I need to wiggle the shift knob while pressing on the button at the same time as I press hard on the shift lock override button.

Nothing like pushing the button and jiggling the shifter to get into gear

Do you see the shift lock override in the top left corner of the shifter assembly? Depress that button and see if you can move the gear selector out of park.

Nope

Underneath the plastic surrounding the shifter, is a plastic piece you push down on to release the shifter. With that cover removed, you'll see what I'm talking about when rock the shifter back and forward. You could drill a small hole where you could shove a screwdriver down to release it.
