Wow! that car looks good 8) Nice clean example. Where'd you get that Sti RS RA badge on the back?

Hehe, it came with the car . . .

I think Adam took it off of his 99RS . . . He was definitely a JDM-junkie

Wow, nice ride. Hey what in the world did Adam do to the blinkers on that thing? Looks like you have a dual light setup on the bumber, like a blinker-slash-fog light setup. How well does it work?

They're actually dual CATZ foglights/driving lights. He completely got rid of the front blinkers and put the CATZ lights in their place. Works VERY well . . . he just rerouted the wiring to accomodate a set of LEDs in the corner lamps. Didn't really work as planned, though, since the turn signals blink at twice the speed (and half the brightness).

Thanks for the compliments!!

What kind of photo enhancement did you use to make it look *so* clean under your hood????

Thanks!! The car was very well maintained, even before Adam got a hold of it!! I just washed the car and the engine bay a couple days before . . . then it rained the next day . . . go figure

I was wondering the exact same thing about the lights. I'm definitely going to have to spend some time outside looking at how I can move the front signals to the corner, because I just can't seem to find a better place to put driving and/or fog lights.

Do you really like the CATZ? I'm trying to figure out what I want to put on mine, because I really want / need something else (just like everyone else it seems).

Good looking car!! (<- Green with envy)

Where's your hoodscoop project :!: :!: :!: :D Man, these cars look menacing, especially from the front

Have fun,

mikec, the CATZ lights are pretty good. I'd say at least comparable to the hella/piaa small lights. When Adam and I traded cars one of the bulbs for the yellow fog lights was out, so I haven't seen them both on. Night driving with the driving lights is nice, providing coverage for where the stock lighting doesn't reach . . . I turned on the yellow fog lights, and these are actually brighter than the driving lights!! Visibility is not a problem with them on . . . I just need to get around to swapping out the bulbs (which requires the romoval of the headlight to get to the light).

LegacyT, have you taken a step outside?!?!?! It's cold out there!! :D
I'm afraid the hoodscoop idea will have to take a backseat until the weather warms up. Unfortunately, by that time, I'll probably need the hoodscoop . . . catch-22  So, I'm in the process off putting together an intercooler water spray kit from various parts from different vendors. I'm guessing the total price of the kit will be in the neighborhood of $50.

Once I get that up and running, I'll post it up here BEFORE the other boards . . . just because you guys get priority, in my book :P

Yup, that car hated me!! When I bought the car I noticed that on the front bumper, wing, and rear fender, there were a couple marks/indentations that had been covered up with touchup paint. I disregarded those minor details as I REALLY wanted the car . . . Little did I know the original owner got rid of it probably because it was cursed.

I wish Adam goodluck with the car. He knew the car's history, but I guess he's not too superstitious . . . It was probably just MY badluck, anyway

I'm sooooo glad I went retro!!!

Why did Adam want to trade you? Was he just itching for a change of pace? Did you guys actually just trade straight across??

Adam always wanted a 97-99GT but he could never find one with a 5-spd. I just happened to want a turbo legacy but I could never find one with a 5-spd. I started posting about wanting to get rid of my car and Adam originally offered to buy it off of me. I couldn't find a replacement car so I kept it. A couple months later Adam posted the pictures of his car that everyone around here saw and I randomly threw out an offer to trade.

I think in terms of straight out "worth", monetarily speaking, Adam got the better half of the deal (his car was a good 6yrs older!!), albeit he threw in a crapload of stuff on his end of things . . . but I think in terms of a pure subaru fanatic's standpoint (this car's a helluva lot rarer than even my GT!!) and performance standpoint, I might have come out on top.

Adam does have a lot of plans for that car, however . . . He SAYS he's not gonna do a swap . . . but as you and I know . . . we're talkin about Adam here . . . does that really sound like him?
