Pedal Assistance? This can't be right...

Getting ready to tackle the task of installing the pedals for my five speed swap. I laid the pedals out and want to run this by you guys before I go any further. The gas pedal looks like its mostly OK, but im a little concerned about the clutch pedal. Its super hard to push the pedal from all the way engaged to all the way disengaged, like the assembly would go flying out of my hands if I wasnt expecting it. I thought maybe it was on there backwards, but there doesnt seem to be a better way to get it in there.

Cross posting this in my build thread so I can keep track.

What is the donor car for that pedal set?

When I did mine, the brake and clutch were one assembly. The clutch had a cross shaft that went to the gas pedal side of the assembly and then it pushed the clutch master cylinder from that side.

It's been a while since I had one out, but I remember the spring being substantial.

Yeah, on mine I was surprised that the spring effort was so strong. It took both arms to push it down.
