Looking at buying a 91 sedan, thing is I really don’t like the tail lights. Wondering how much work is involved to convert the tail lights... I know it would also need a new bumper beam and cover. I’m just wondering about the trunk and whether I would have to weld in a new rear skirt ( vertical part between the tail ends of the quarter panels) from a facelifted car

I'd imagine you'd be better off cutting off the sheet metal and welding it to your car. I tried it in the junkyard, and the sides were the most different

The plastic panel that spans between the tail lights is sometimes painted or tinted or even removed. I think the back end looks way better without the panel.

That definitely looks much better,! But still not as good as the facelift tail IMHO

Subaru actaully changed the chassis between S1 and S2... You can't swap the bits round sadly, you'd have to chop and weld.
