6speed swap to Legacy 1gen

Hello guys!
Wondering on one question - is it possible to fit 2011-2019 Legacy B15 (BM/BR) or XV 6-speed manual transmission in Legacy 1 generation? Will it work in it or no? Have anybody tried it?

Hello,
As I understand it, the 6spd in the newer Legacy utilizes a similar sized case as the existing 5spd transmission vs. the 6spd with the DCCD in the STi.
Either way, it should be able to be swapped in but you will need to make some modifications. I'll point you to mine and John's 6spd swap threads as well as my 5spd & AWD swap page to give you an idea of what is involved.
