Does anyone have info on a polishing compound for glass that can be used to get small pitting and such out of glass.
Jason, you mentioned your work could get something like this?
If I can't find anything....I'll have to get a new windshield......I can barely see anything when it rains.....It's horrible.

well i did a bit of product testing, scratches and watermarks are no prob, but pits are a no-go.
On the side i talked to a professional car detailer and brought it up in the conversation; he said the easiest way of getting rid of those pits is with a new windshield. Those usually run about $250 installed. Well, at least up here it does.

Yeah......sorta figured that......I'll have to see if I have some sort of deductible with insurance......I'll get my other issues taken care of first.....but seeing is a good thing.....most of the time.

thanks for the link.
But my windshield has pretty much been sand blasted in a dust storm. So there's ton's of little tiny chips. It's not worth fixing.
I'm lookin into a new windshield. I think my insurance deductible is like 200 bucks & a good windshield is like 300.
I could get cheaper, but the glass sucks, it's waivy and cheap.

Toss it a brick. Iwas in the same boat a while back but my insurance has full glass cover. Any thing glass gets busted, gets replaced for nothing But thats NewZealand car insurance for ya.
(Not often NZ ers get to gloat)
I know it's not much help. My car got a desert sand blasting glass and paint shot all to hell but insurance covered it. I can really sympathise dude.

Yeah, I think some states in the US are like that too. I'm pretty sure in Massachusetts windshield replacement is free, subsidized by the state.
We should rig up a scam with some members in Massachusetts! :) j/k
