How to read fault codes
Posted: Thu Aug 23, 2001 11:09 am
I just got a 90 Legacy 2.2L. It has a check engine light. I had some
documents that try to describe the code read procedure, but I don't
understand it.
How do I find the read memory and test mode connectors? I looked
under the dash and found many connectors. How do I know which are
correct? What combination do I use to connection/disconnection do I
use for reading codes? I don't understand the difference betweeen the
different modes (U-check, read memory, D-check, clear memory).
Thanks for the help.
