see wats going on (i put a t piece on the vac pipe that comes out of
the top cntre of the throttle boddy ,, is this place ok to take it
off ? ) . anyway first drive was showing just under 4 psi on full
throttle and never went any higher , then i stoped car to go to shop
drove off again and it was showing about 8 psi , turned it off again
and it went to about 11 psi , now its back to about 4 psi . any more

First guess, you have a leak somewhere. check your hoses (cheapest first...)
Then?

how exactly did you make a temp. boost gauge? just a t piece, hose
and pressure guage? if so would the length of hose used have
anything to do with what the guage reads?

i dident expect the temp boost gauge to be accurate and quite
possibly the pipe/ parts used may make a difference to the reading
but it was just to prove to myself that it was a boost problem
however i dont think they would make that much difference ie 6 psi
and also the gauge seems to read as the car feels eg sometimes the
car feels gutless and sometimes its ok
thanks
