TURBO'S IN ??? CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WAITED THIS LONG ???
What are you talking about? I've had you down all this time as an auto trans
92 Turbo Legacy Wagon, same as me. What's going on? What were you? What
have you done? Did you use a stock Legacy IHI turbo with water and oil
lines? Try to find a factory Turbo Legacy and check out the hood scoop and
ducting around the turbo. The stock scoop ducts cooling air onto the turbo.
Also, check out the funny little tank with a radiator cap over the intake
manifold. It is part of the cooling system that circulates water thru the
turbo when you shut down the engine. Go here to get more details.

turbo's in Rod Grosvenor ???

Larry-I had an original `92, AWD, L wagon with the auto trans until I met up with Stuart & Kevin Logan (local Subie nuts) & they introduced me to Robert Ansick @ Forced Air Tech. (a turbo GENIUS). I`ll do the run-down: late-model 4EAT tranny, MSD Dis-2 w/boost timing master, Borla headers, Hi-flow cats, 2.25 exhaust system w/ Dynomax muffler, Late RS coilpack, NGK 8mm wires, K&N Filtercharger with a modified air box, Denso iridium plugs, B&G 1.5" lowering springs, KYB GR2 struts, STI top mounts in front (stock in rear), stainless steel brake lines, cross-drilled front rotors and a JC Sports non-adj front strut tower bar. Robert installed the latest Garrett ball bearing that replaces the T3, custom up & down pipes, an FMU and modified the turbo to a max of 6.5 psi. From idle to 6k rpm, my car now pulls like a midwife delivering quintuplets! Items to be installed next week: 255 liter/hr fuel pump, combo turbo timer/boost gauge, tranny filter kit & cooler. When the dust settles, I`m sending my stock 275cc injectors to RC Engineering in L.A. to blueprint same & make sure they`re working perfectly. (BTW, 275cc injectors on our engines are perfect up to about 8psi boost per Wane @ RC.) I consider my car a `touring wagon` as opposed to drag racer, although the local Hondas may end up with a different description! Oh, I forgot-I`m converting ALL fluids to Redline oil products (already have the oil & water-wetter in so far). The diff & tranny fluids just arrived so they`ll be changed soon. I have to tell you this is the most fun I`ve had since my V-8 Vega wagon from the 80`s. I hope I have`nt left anything out; any questions? Post me---ROD (AZ.)

Dave-no pictures yet-will have some soon after all the detailing is done (I`m quite anal when it comes to cleanliness). Being that I`m a newbie to computers, I`ll get some help to get everything right before it`s uploaded. It should happen sometime before the SEMA @ the end of Oct. See `ya---ROD (AZ.)
