Who's Who at Wild West

I have the dark maroon (mica ruby color #218) 92 sedan with the distinctive exhaust sound. If my car was half as hot as it sounds, I would be very happy. I am in the middle of reducting my intercooler to a new hood scoop and I was running scoopless at Wild West.

It is fun to see the level of interest in our rare cult-classic cars. A hot Legacy Turbo is definitely an attractive alternative to a new WRX. The Legacy can be made as quick as the WRX and it is more comfortable. Furthermore, it comes with a nice moon roof which is unavailable in a WRX. We could use a bit more chassis stiffness to crisp up the handling. The new WRX has a really stiff chassis. I have a strut tower bar hanging on my garage wall, but since it occupies the same space as my intercooler, it remains a garage wall decoration.

Unfortunately, I did not have my Legacy there. I have the same color.
I understand about the strut tower bar since I now have an intercooler on my car.
You should add the rear strut tower bar. it should help.

guys ...

Four of us.. Shadblot, Buckner/Grahn, Eklund, and some guys in a
sweet blue new WRX in PGT

I prolly drive past your pit on my way back and forth for
coffee ... :)

I'm not too sure about how much it would help in adding the rear bar in the sedans. If you have one without rear fold down seats, there is already a bar that goes across. I guess if you have the fold down seats you don't have that, and adding one may help. But just from looking at the suspension geometry and how things are situated in the rear of the car, it's pretty compact, it may help, may not. Does anyone know if there is any sort of X-bracing or something that can be bolted up to the underside to add chassis rigidity?

Hi Josh-sorry for the delay, but I saw a rear differential brace from Cusco on Teague`s website. I was going to call them & ask some questions but have`nt had a chance. It`s reasonably priced & may help with rear diff rigidity. If you call them first, let us know what they said, OK?---ROD (AZ.)
