2.0 vs 2.2

I can actually answer a couple of these...

The 2.2 natually aspirated motor is open deck.
the 2.2 NA does NOT have the oil squirters.
Head's themselves are slightly different to allow more flow. Also, the price
on new ones is a lot more.

2.0 vs 2.2

I believe the very first year or so of the Legacy, the N/A 2.2 was closed deck. I am pretty sure my 90 is closed deck but not positive. It was manufactured in july of 89.

Not all of the 2.0's are closed deck. The older ones were, but the newer 2.0 is open deck along with the rest of subaru's newer motors. Are there any newer production motors that are closed deck?

Josh
