Engine Oil cooler install info needed....

Just wanted to see if what is the best way to put an engine oil cooler on
the the EJ22T. Our Rally car was running pretty warm at the Pacific Forest
Rally (2nd Place!!). I checked the regs, and it allows an oil cooler to be
fitted, so I now want to put one in. I have some really nice coolers
already, but I was wondering what is the best way to plumb it in.

I have seen adapters that go between the filter and engine that then routes
the oil to the cooler. Is there such an adapter? Is it the best way to go?

I am assuming that the 92' Legacy Turbo doesn't already have one....I
couldn't see it readily, but I never looked very hard either.

Thanks for any info!

Why not just start with the stock oil cooler?

So...the Turbo's already have one I take it.

Where exactly is the cooler located? If they have a stock cooler, then I'll
just replace the cooler with a better one. Temps were hovering around 260 F
which isn't bad, but too high for my tastes. Thanks,

Hey Rabin,
The factory 2.0 oil cooler setup goes between the block and the oil filter.
The setup is on my car, but no oil cooler is installed.
