Basically everything that applies to a '91 turbo will apply to a '94 turbo.
the main difference between the two ('91 turbo and '92-'94 turbo) is the
body styling - which isn't too terribly different anyway.

oh, ack! i forgot that you had a TT, nevermind.. When you talk about your
'94 it's really USA '95. I'm thinking USA '94, which would be in the same
position as USA '91.

Good luck finding yours!

We don't get a TT. :(

We get a 3L 6 cyl from 2001+. Not quite as good, but it's a step in the
right direction.

oh, ack! i forgot that you had a TT, nevermind.. When you talk about your
'94 it's really USA '95. I'm thinking USA '94, which would be in the same
position as USA '91.

Good luck finding yours!

Do a search in the archives for this one, someone asked about it not too
long ago. This should be replaced every couple thousand miles (10k-20k).

Just a note on the PCV valve: if it ain`t broke, don`t fix it! This comes from someone with extended Subie knowledge as a tech & is the guy who did the fantastic job on my turbo set-up. The PCV Subaru uses is`nt like the old ones you`d find in a rubber grommet stuck in the valve cover. This one is in the pass. side of the throttle body just above the IAC valve. When i asked if it should be changed, he indicated they don`t get all oiled up like the old ones did & it was OK. Do what you`re comfortable with, but it`s probably OK. My 2 cents worth---ROD (AZ.)

before replacing it..... check to see if it still works.
start the engine, pull the hose off the PCV, with your finger cover the PCV,
lightly open and close the throttle, removing your finger and on off you
should feel a vacuum and feel the valve working.
The valve alone may be checked by removing it and shaking it. It is normal
when you hear it rattle.

I went from a NA set-up to a light pressure turbo (61/2 lbs. boost). He put in a Garrett VB-25 dbl. roller bearing turbo (equivalent to a T3) that spools instantly off idle. With the headers, ignition, K&N, under drive pulley, etc. it goes like snot! If you have an NA motor & the coin, I`d recommend this to anyone. Interested? Post me and I`ll give you Robert`s website for more info.---ROD (AZ.)

My 2 cents worth---ROD (AZ.)

plugs and wires have been changed also an UR pully
thinking it would help with gas mileage. It also seems
as if its unable lay down the power sometimes...
sometimes it will pull hard but in the same situation
later it will rev freely but wont pull like it did
before.... any ideas?

Yes Rod, I am very interested.

I want to do work to the motor on my car. Probably wouldn't be for a bit, but I want to swap in a 5 spd and convert to AWD. I have been toying/debating over the idea of what route to go, stick with N/A high compression engine. Or low boost turbo setup. I've ALWAYS had a love for turbo cars. So I would be greatly appreciate any all info you can throw my way. Did you redo any of the engine internals. I had sorta thought/expected to do this when I did do whatever upgrades I was goin to do. So if I do mod engine internals, can you run more boost? or is the N/A engine design limited?

Thanks Rod,

PS: Where in AZ are you? I got a buddy that is moving out from Maryland area out to Tucson. He stopped by last night for dinner and crashed at my place in memphis, and took off again this morning.
