I think my clutch is slipping, because I don't know how the car drives
other then how it does now... What's going on is; I'm in 2nd or 3rd
gears at about 2500RPM in second and 3500RPM in third, and have my
foot off the gas, I kick the gas down almost all the way, the engine
will jump up about 200-44 RPMs in third, and the engine catches up. In
second it goes up more like 500-700 RPMS Is my clutch gone? The car
has no mods, it's a stock legacy L. It has 60K on the current clutch.
It was driven pretty tamely. is this a normal time to need repair? how
much should I expect to pay a mechanic? could I do the clutch myself?

with my previous N/A stock liberty i got 140,000km out of the first
clutch.
you could try checking the clutch by having the handbrake applied,
select 1st gear, try to drive away, and see if it stalls. Or find a
steep inline driving up at a good speed, and select a higher gear
than normal with the power on and see if the engine revs with no
speed increase.

Sounds like it is starting to slip to me...
I think Cobb tuning has the cheapest ACT clutchs around, cheaper then
factory replacements.

I now have 215000km on the clock and she has just started to slip a lot
taking off on hills. Its gotten that bad that I can't even chirp 2nd. I am
hoping that the gearbox sh!ts it self very soon so that I can do the gearbox
and clutch at the same time. The gearbox is almost there.
