Grant-I have one (underdrive) on my `92. It`s an Unorthodox pulley that was fairly easy to install.... Unorthodox also offers light, stock diameter pulleys for the P/S & the alternator (a project for when I build my 2.4 stroker motor.)

Hey Rod is that right? I only saw the crank pulley for Subarus on their website
What's the haps??? What do I need to ask for, does some other car fit ???

Check out Teague's auto. They've got quite the plethora of stuff. They have a pulley set that has all the lighter weight pullies, and I think even one set that has a smaller alternator pulley. I'm not sure if you can buy just the alternator pulley though. If we could, I would want to do that.

Thanx Rod. I tried Subysports already. They can't break a 3 pulley set.

I'm like you, with a lightweight underdrive, looking for an alterntor and P/S pulley
I have feelers out to a couple of other places. Waiting on replies.

If anybody's hot with a lathe, I have calculations from Josh Columbo giving diameter of undersize alternator pulley necessary to compensate for underdrive crank pulley size reduction

Larry:
I got the information you sent. Do you have the old alternator pulley to
copy the groves? if so I can make any of the pulleys (out of anything)!

Dan,

This was the only thing really keepin me from proceeding with my plans. If you can copy the grooves, and I guess get the basic shape from an existing pulley that would be great! I wanted to make up a set of cad drawings, but didn't want to be without a car.

When my buddy and I were pursuing this (he was the one who was goin to be able to lathe the part) We went to pep boys and got an alternator for my car. That way we had what the grooves looked like and pretty much a brand new pulley to copy. Unfortunately he was not able to continue with the project....so sorta scrapped it. The alternator I just took back. Most have a 30 day warranty. I just told them I wasn't sure if it was alternator.

Other thought is to see if you can get a stock alternator pulley from a junkyard.

Any thoughts on whether it would be beneficial to swap on a lighter pulley on the P/S pump?

Here's a pic of the front of my engine with the underdrive on, with all the belts.

I've got some other shots on my site as well.
