Do you have an LSD?

I ripped this page from a Datsun site (which i asked premission for)
and it goes through how to find a LSD from a Subaru:

http://www.xmission.com/~dac/library/differential.htm

My 93 Wagon doesn't have one.

The reason that the clutch type LSD is harder to find and costs more
now is the Nissan people are finding them and buying them up. I have
installed the clutch type from the Loyale(3.7) in to the 4.11 and 3.9
and wrote a detailed set of instructions on doing this for the
Ultimate Message Board a few years ago and it was supposed to become
part of their repair manual. I think I still have one of the 4.11 LSD
conversions that I removed from my car when I went to 3.9 if anyone is
interested in it.

I would take $200.00 plus shipping and I think that is about $35.00
in the states by UPS. This one has the stub axels and will fit the
early models but requires an axel change for the imprezzas. Let me
know and I will dig it out tommorrow.

The place i'm getting the transmission kit from has one they'll sell
me for within a few dollars of that, so i'll pass.

I would, however, recommend this for anyone who has 4.11 gears and
doesn't presently have an LSD, especially if you ever see snow.

I am. The car is driven %95 of the time below 60MPH, so i'm not
worried much about economy. I don't really have a ton of traffic
either, so i don't have to worry much about shifting too much.

The difference isn't that much, just a hair over %5, and the 4.11 set
was a few years newer anyway.
