Hello-A couple of suggestions: eliminate the water mix with your alcohol (denatured I presume)-you need a boost timing master to retard the spark properly as it sounds like a problem in that area. I can only run 12 psi for now until a finer spray nozzle comes in & timing is retarded in conjunction with boost increase. The pump & nozzle volume seem ok but I`ll have to wait until my dyno run to confirm. You should`nt have to reset the ECU as I travel to the dyno shop (at approx. 1300 ft. elevation) back home to over 5000 ft with only a slight decrease in alcohol for all to work properly. Obviously, this is due to less boost being made at higher elevations. Keep in mind that I`m running 9.5-1 compression with far fewer detonation problems than you. BTW, who`s alcohol kit are you running? Are you running a QUALITY premium fuel? (I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I had to ask.) I use an MSD DIS-2, part #6212 that has a programmable retard feature; this is the only CD ignition out there AFAIK that works with our ignition system & will give you the ignition control you need. Let me know your thoughts...---ROD (AZ.)

Rod,
I have a North American Turbo Legacy '91, and I am trying to kill detonation with water/alcohol injection. I am curently using a nozzle with a flow rate of 150ml/min. Pump is rated at 18psi. Injecting right bfore throttle body. System turns on at 3psi. Every time I test it, the detontation disappears but my performance drops. I must then reset my ECU and performance returns but so does detonation... How many ml/min should I run?
Mods - MBC at 15psi, 2.25" exhaust with no cats and a high flow muffler, K&N with cold air intake, deadened the knock sensor signal to reduce timing retard
Car is an auto and running really quick at an ave of 6.7 0-60mph
Any ideas?
