Where exactly is the BOV located on the Legacy Turbo (CDN)? I've often
wondered this but I haven't been able to see anything. I know it's supposed
to be a Denso BOV but I don't know what it looks like.

Subject: [BC-BFLegacyWorks] Customizing Rubber Intake Ducting

My 92 Turbo Sedan has a huge TurboXS adjustable blow-off valve (aka compressor
bypass valve) with 1- 3/8" inlet and outlet. The stock cheap plastic cpv that
came OEM from Subaru used 3/4" inlet and outlet. Initially I adapted my BOV
down to 3/4", which added an unreasonable amount of length and was just dumb.
The inlet nipple for the cpv on the rubber elbow that goes from the plastic
resonator oil separater to the turbo is notoriously likely to crack and tear.
I bought a short piece of 1-3/8" radiator hose, cut out the opening in the
elbow and glued the two together with black Shoe Goo (available at shoe repair
stores). After the initial round set up, I reinforced the joint by adding
more Shoe Goo and layers of fiberglass cloth. I finished my handiwork with
satin black paint, as the Shoe Goo was more shiny that the OEM elbow. Now my
fancy BOV ducts perfectly into the stock turbo intake. When my original elbow
nipple puked I made an on-the-road repair with Marine Goop, which is exactly
the same as Shoe Goo, except it has UV stabalizers. I know for a fact that it
holds well in this application. When I am in an aesthetically enhanced mood,
I might wrap this elbow and my spliced on hose with bicycle handlebar tape
just so it won't look quite as "Road Warrior".

It's beside the intercooler on the turbo side. You'll see it attached between the intercooler inlet pipe and the inlet hose going into the turbo

See my "Where's my BOV?" post.

The NA Turbos have BOVs, just pathetic ones.
