Over the weekend I installed a Greddy Boost gauge into my 1992 Legacy
Turbo. The instructions seemed wacked, running the pressure tap from
between the Fuel pressure regulator and the intake manifold(?). Now,
I dont know much about cars--but isn't that running a fuel tube to an
air inlet(!?) Anyhow, I just guessed where it should go and stuck it
here:

...its reading something, but it sure isn't the turbo pressure.

I'm curious where others have tapped theirs. I looked at the example
for the VDO installation on Daves site and it doesn't match my engine
bay...so no help there... suggestions anyone?

Just put a T on the manifold hose.

Hmm.
I think that's a bad place to link the gauge too, because there's a solenoid
in the line to the turbo wastegate, and the solenoid leaks air to control
your wastegate operation. (It's computer controlled) This probably stuffs up
the boost pressure on the gauge.

I wired my boost gauge up to one of the three vacuum lines coming off the
top of the engine.. Ummm... its roughly in the very centre of the engine
bay, on the spot where the air intakes split up. There are three pipes in a
row, all initially facing towards the back of the car.

One of these goes to the turbo wastegate controller via a box thats strapped
to the suspension strut you can see in your photo. *don't use this line*!
Instead, put the T-piece into one of the other two cables.

Works for me, boost appears to read correctly.

The instructions are correct. You install a 'T' piece between the
small vacuum hose coming off the inlet manifold going to the fuel
pressure regulator. This line doesn't carry fuel it is a vacumm line
that adjusts fuel pressure by sensing manifold vacuum.. This is the
best line to attach to as it is a dead end line and not connected to
anything else.
