I'm horrible at math, I will prob need to ask my machine shop guy. He works on Subaru blocks and heads, so he would most likely have the answer

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Resurrecting this old thread, doing some research
Have a spare EJ22T with bad cylinder walls and what I was thinking (along the lines of the OP's work) if it would be possible to use EJ2.5 pistons if the cylinders are bored appropriately. Would the cyl walls be too thin for boost?

Re: Anything new for updating injectors?
Yeah, I've looked at them. Too pricey for my budget. Buddy of mine who works in a Subaru shop in PDX says these 850cc side feeds are notorious for failing. Saw deal for some JECS for only $180, I might pull the trigger. Today I put the stock fuel rails and injectors in and its running much better. A...

Re: Anything new for updating injectors?
Long overdue update, I finally got the RX running a couple of weeks ago. With the 1st gen fuel rails installed, I picked up some 850cc side feed injectors. Right out of the box, one of them was bad (thats what I get for buying stuff from China) Even tho it was long past the return window, the seller...

Re: Anything new for updating injectors?
Thanks for all the info guys. The PnP's in the PNW have lots of old Leggys in them, but I may have to travel a bit to find a MY92-94 A little off topic, but related to my engine build. I got rid of the hyd lifters and went solid. Grabbed a set from a 95 Imp, but screwed up and forgot to take the bol...

Re: Anything new for updating injectors?
I have a modified 95 JDM WRX ECU with ESL software for tuning. Are the side feeds a drop in or do I need the fuel rails also. What about a FPR? Assuming you're using an ej22t motor. You need to use the rails from a 92-94 non-turbo ej22. Those will allow the use of the STi and compatible side feed i...

Anything new for updating injectors?
I've read most of the threads on updating to bigger injectors, but most of the threads etc were pretty old. Is there anything new out there for upgrades? I want to get around 400cc or better, but not over the top. I doing a mild build for my 89 RX, just refreshing the block with rings and bearings b...

My EJ swapped 89 RX at local raceway 6/21
My workplace threw some sponsor money into a race day put on by Olympia Drag Racing Assoc and I went to rep the company. I was the ONLY 4cyl car there. 95% of the cars were old muscle cars and most not even street legal. I have a EJ22T swapped into my RX with a TD04 and fuel cut defender. 3in divorc...

Decided to go with the same plugs. No sense in buying something that didnt improve performance.
Will post up race results in appropriate forum.

Re: Spark plug FAQ: NGK V-powers, not Bosch platinums...
Keeping this thread alive! Was reading thru all the post, was trying to find out the gap for some new plugs I got. I'll be taking them back now - NGK plats. I'm looking for performance, not longevity. I plan on some minor racing (1/8th mile) on the 21st in my EJ22T swapped 89 RX and I havent changed...

Re: 1984 Subaru Leone GLF (kinda rare)
Heres to more reading material! And pics too ;-) Some of you that know me off the other forums know that I like the older coupes. I've had 3 of the EA81T's, a couple of GL's and my first Subaru, a 82 GLF. The most memorable tho is a 83 Convertible I picked up for $1200. It needed some tlc but it had...

Re: Remote MBC anyone
Coming in a little late on this, havent been here in a while. I have a Hallman MBC and have it mounted to the side of my center console (my 89 RX). Before I installed my FCD I was able to dial it in pretty good for 8lb and then full boost, which was about 12lb with my setup. Since the FCD install it...

Re: Turbo/more boost
I have a TD04 on mine, with a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and WRX TMIC. Installed a AVO recirc on it recently. Also have a fcd and I'm boosting at about 15lb. I have so much torque the stock clutch cant handle it. But its not in a Legacy, its in my 89 RX. I'm in the process of buying a house in Rocheste...

Do you know how many white Legacy wagons are running around in the area?

Re: Idle issue
Ok, finally getting some where. First off, the ECS light is different than the Engine/Ign light on the dash(on my RX) Once I hooked up the signal wire from the ECU to the correct EA harness wire(which I had to trace from the board on the dash), I got a code, hura! Popped out a 24 code, the IAC.........

No, no cable or software.
I did read the thread about making the cable and stuff, might consider that.

Idle issue
This is my EJ22T swap in my 89 RX. It will idle at 2k and rise to 2.5k. I can blip the throttle and it will drop, but rise again after several seconds. I've have changed out the IAC and TPS with no improvement. Cleaned the MAF, checked for vac leaks. Also made sure I had the wiring correct. I'm thin...

Re: A few questions about TD04 and MBC
Well, I havent done squat all week as far as checking codes. I need to get under the dash and pull some wiring down and find the wire that supposed to go to the dash light, so I'm not really looking forward to it  I'll try and do it this weekend tho. Heres a few pics... http://i286.photobucket...
