^^ probably cost more to ship than they are worth. The headliner is nasty vinyl, front door cards were broken by the speaker too.

So today I got the headliner swapped with the cloth one from the 94, carpet swapped for the black carpet. Put all the black interior trim in it and put all the seats but the drivers back in. All that's left is swapping the dashboard/steering wheel/column trim. Also was gonna swap the ebrake handles but the 91 uses a different sender switch and the switches mount differently.

Both dashboards are pulled, pedal assemblies are pulled. I gave up after spending an hour under the 91 dash trying to get the clutch/brake assembly to fit with no luck. I'm getting stuck on a large wiring loom that goes down to the column it's so close but can't quite get it by myself. I think it's time for a few drinks as my back hates me right now.

Got the pedal assembly in along with the black dashboard and the 5mt gauge cluster. Just the center console left for interior stuff. Now for the easy part of putting the engine and transmission in.

Got the car in the garage and on jack stands. It is AMAZINGLY clean underneath for a 1991. Took the remainder of the exhaust off of it and threw it in the scrap pile. I started to do the wiring for the AT to MT swap, pulled the shift lock module etc. It's all coming together I'm just lacking the motivation to spend more than an hour or two at a time on it.

Pulled all of the wiring harness from the 94 and worked a bit more on the automatic to manual wiring on the 91.

Finally got the correct intake manifold wiring harness (engine harness) from Damon, so I can get back to business on this thing. I *should* have it running this weekend. The 94 just needs the gas tank pulled and maybe some rear suspension bits like sway bar and lateral links and its ready for the scrapper.

Finally drove it today, has some really really old gas in it (basically a full tank too) so it smokes a bit. Still need to swap the rear suspension, bleed the clutch some more, and figure out why my high beams don't work. If anyone is wondering, outback aspect ratio tires rub on a SS.

Fixed a coolant leak, swapped the rest of the suspension, swapped the headlight/blinker switch(didn't fix the problem), removed the crusty door actuator from the viper alarm, fixed the passenger side rear window button, bled the clutch the rest of the way, and started fixing an intercooler rattle. Tomorrow I'll finish fixing the rattle, find out why my high beams don't work and start looking into wheels/tires. Almost done!

Saw the result of Kimo's 3M headlight job and remembered how much Piddster liked the 3M kit so I decided to try it myself. I work in an auto body shop so I could have easily done it at work with our industrial grade 3M stuff. I wanted to find out how good this kit was from the auto parts stores so I picked it up for $18 with my discount.

I was quite amazed with the kit. All of the sand paper was industrial grade auto body stuff and not the cheap parts store shit. The buffing pad was the same too, everything was just smaller. To put it in perspective, each sheet of sand paper we use at the shop costs us $1 or more, the 3000 grit trizact sheets cost $6 per sheet. The rubbing compound is more than $100 per gallon. So this $20 retail kit is well worth the money, and it actually makes the process quicker having a smaller buffing pad on the old ass 91 headlights with the nipples on them. It took me ~2 hours and 3 beers to do both headlights and the turn signals. I went through 2 charges on my non-lithium battery on my drill and 1 charge on a lithium battery to finish them. (charging time is included in the 2 hours)

I also covered the 2 chrome strips on the tail lights with electrical tape, still gotta do the bumper chrome but I like the tail lights a lot better now.

That kit is well worth the money. I did three sets of headlights with the supplied abrasives, and touched mine up again a couple times with the Trizact pad and compound.

Picking up some wheels for it tomorrow. I ended up liking the Rota's too much so they stayed on my Impreza. Just gotta get an alignment, make a grill, and clean a few things up and it will be ready to sell.

My buddy's are jeep xj guys, like big ones. Nice ones with the toughest run ing gear. I'm a more of a ford guy. I just traded my 6th ranger for my subaru. But still have another for the snow. But those jeeps are made for offroad.

Well his car is sold, so I might as well thread jack a bit and I love pic whoring my jeep, and riding with me is the main reason deride had to get one :) haha

Mine is the little jeep that could. I've only got about $1500-2000 into it (with buying it)
-5" in front
-7" rear lift
-relocated/raised fuel tank
-31's (until I feel like dropping the $ on 285's)
- lots of other little things(cutting here, welding there)
- appreciation for body damage (most important mod :) )

Jeeps. What can't they do? I'm a fan of the xj myself, all it took was driving a postal one and I was hooked. Someday, I'll get one myself and use it for the hard core offroading.

I really gotta get working on the Jeep sometime soon. Since I've got it I've swapped on a hood I got from Grayguy without huge holes in it, replaced the upper radiator hose, and fixed an issue with the drivers door lock. Guess I'm kind of burnt out from all the projects I've done lately I don't even have any ambition to work on my Impreza, let alone the Jeep.
