Best return to date actually. $475 back. I usually owe or get little back.

Know what the best part of paying taxes is?
Trick question. There's no good part.

I saw a guy break down all the taxes we pay including gas taxes social security federal state sales etc and his figure was 62% of his earnings! I never thought of it like that. No wonder I don't have any money!

Not to mention foreign aid. I don't know why we're giving away so much money and we can't even fix our own budget.
Anyone else aware that we recently gave a handful of F16 fighter jets and hundreds of M1 Abrams tanks to Egypt? Muslim brotherhood-controlled Egypt.
The only solution I can see is term limits and a executive-appointed panel to set congress' salary and benefits.

I'm expecting over 10k federal+state refund. Having 3 children to claim helps boost that up there!

I call it getting even with the IRS. They gave me shit returns for years until I got married and started claiming the wifes kids.

I only made 23k this year, figure that out. lol

Yeah see I made $36k and got back $475. What's really messed up is anything over $36k gets taxed at 25% and then after like 120k it only goes to 28%.

Don't feel so bad, I paid over $4000 in January! I haven't gotten my 2012 paperwork yet, but I paid close to $30k last year! I hope to get $5k of that back though.

Got $3k back this year, no wife or kids. Was only getting $300 back, but factor in mortgage deductions, closing costs, property taxes, losses in long term investments, etc. and got an extra $2700.

If you want a bigger return, then change the number of deductions in your paycheck to 0, but if you want a bigger paycheck, but a smaller return then change your deductions to 2.

Before you guys start complaining about high taxes.... remember that we are one of the LEAST taxed citizens in the world.

http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/briefing ... tional.cfm

Lots of other factors go into that, obviously. But it's food for thought.
