Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
i figured that much just wondering how i could kinda aim the air to the slanty more
Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
Think it would be to much work. But you could try and get the unslanted WRX intercooler and that might help. Also do you have a turbo blanket and heat shield. If so I wouldn't worry to much unless you just want something to do.

i have a grimmspeed heat sheild. and i was just wondering. i like the slanty because it gives my subie a jdm look. maybe next summer i'll look for a diffrent scoop.
Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
Yea no worries. Some guys use the RS or WRX scopes for looks and a little more air.

Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
You could get the slanty splitter from a GC8, and slot its holes or make a bracket to mount it to our hood. It's not going to be a direct fit by a long shot.

I run a slanty IC and i noticed a bigger difference when i went with a WRX hood scoop.

Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
How many people seal the area between the TMIC and hood? Directing air through it and not around it should make a big difference.

Re: redirecting cooler air to slanty
Any one know if the slanty splitter from an early ver1-2 GC would bolt up? I have one on my car but I have a larger Intercooler so I am only feeding air to half of it.
