Deadbolt's TD05H-16g legacy version

Post by TurboLegacy »

from http://www.deadboltspeed.com , is that about the right price i should pay for a TD05H-16g? it looks to be perfect for our cars, but i dont know how much people are paying for regular 16g's, not legacy version.

The prices at deadbolt seemed fair to me last time i was there.
So they have one clocked right for a legacy now... I'm not sure why but I guess if you already have a good IC setup on the car you wouldn't have to change it. Be carefull with boost with that saab TMIC, it's not a lot of IC.

Deadbolt is about the only place I know of that offers new clocked TD05's, and they charge a very fair price. The only other source I know of is to hit E-bay and the UK and AUS forums until you find one for sale. Those usually run $400-500, but they are of unknown history. With a DeadBolt unit you are sure it will work properly...

Confused about their pricing. The Legacy version is the "90 degree inlet TD05" right?

Yes, the Legacy version has the 90 degree inlet.

Deadbolts prices are very reasonable and as mentioned above they are new and Jerry knows his stuff.

You can get a used one off ebay but it will have high mileage and as mentioned you have no idea how it was treated.

I have their Monster 16G with their Black Extreme ceramic on the hot side and regular grey ceramic on the cold side. It's a badass turbo for sure.

I paid 400 for mine from a JDM STi that was imported from Possum Bourne by Rallispec, then rebuilt in 2003, ceramic coated, mildly ported hot side (as much as would be effective) and polished on the cold side.

It has the 90 degree inlet too.

The car it was in ran 12.5 @ 18psi.
