Why cant we use HTML in postings?

Post by ciper »

Is it to prevent crazy colors and huge fonts or?

I think it would be nice to have thumnbnails for an image that when clicked open the full size image.

Check this software out http://photostack.org/about/

bbCode is a way to isolate the board from the potential dangers of HTML. If you could put whatever you wanted in a post it would allow you to -- intentionally or inadvertently -- ruin the formatting of a page. Malicious users could even hijack peoples' accounts and stuff.

If you make a thumbnail you can do what you're describing in bbCode:

Oh yeah...
