We ran the rally car down the 1/4 mile a few times for fun.
1/8 mile:
9.75 sec
77 MPH
1/4 mile
15.2 sec
87 MPH
As you can see the car barely accelerates during the back 1/8th. I shift 2 times during the first 1/8th mile and only once during the second 1/8th. I ran 4 passes which were all within a tenth and 1 MPH so this is not a fluke.
By the time I hit half track the car pulls tons of timing due to all the heat carried through the first 1/8th mile and there is hardly any power left. These runs were conducted WITHOUT the inlet restrictor. K&N cone intake, 3" catless turboback with straight through muffler. 10.5-10.8 psi.
BTW...how do my 1/8 and 1/4 mile times and traps compare to other old school legacy turbos running a stock engine and turbo?

boy could I use an intercooler...
