At long last

Cool, what are you having done to your auto? Ya know, I did happen to notice a crack in my deck lid reflector assembly last night. No REAL big deal but I don't know how it got there. I only drove the car like 6 or 7 miles last night. Oh well, it's a good job but I guess there's going to be some imperfections.

I saw the car real quick last night in the dark and it looked tight! I wanna see it in the light though.

Well, I found out the body shop did a decent job as the new metal they welded to the rear quarters was unblemished. I found this out after my tires refused to let Barbarella negotiate the turn in my work parking lot and so instead of hitting a boat trailer hitch head on, I pulled the brake hoping I'd be able to just squeeze by or at least stop. It did stop after the rear wheel arch caught the trailer and peeled the metal under the gas tank lid back about 4". The body shop roughly estimated $750-1000. Just what I need. I'm thinking of moving out of New England for the first time in my life. We're getting another 8" of snow as I speak (I walked to work) after 38+ last weekend, a few inches the week before, and about 8" the weekend before that. Where's my f'n global warming!?

Yeah, I know and that's probably the only other place outside of Italy I could live.

If my family weren't so important to me, I would do it as soon as I could set up a job and place to live, but I really need to stay here so I can save for a house with my sister, brother-in-law, and little nephew. They live in public housing and need to get out, but there's no way until they're both out of school (both in for law, but neither will be defense attorneys or divorce lawyers!) that that will happen. With me there, we may be able to get something if my debt ever gets paired down (f'n snow!!) and then we can start fixing and moving real estate.
