But note, these are NOT Version 8 injectors. They have gotta be older, side-fed injectors.

Stock, EJ18 injectors bolt to our rails, no problem. That said, JDM side feed EJ20 injectors also bolt on, and Rallispec carries 550, 650, and 850 injectors for those applications. 99.9% that those will work for the stock rails.

Do they use side-feed on the '05 STis?

I was wondering because I saw a set on e-bay that were side feed that the guy said were off of his '05.

It's completely possible that he's full of shit, but I thought it odd.

Ya, they are side fed but if I remember right they're different then the older side fed ones. They're shorter and fatter or something.

Yea, only older EJ20 injectors work, but they will fit our stock rails.

EJ18 injectors fit EJ22T rails from what my friend tells me, and from what my friend tried in an EJ22T swap.

BUT, if they don't, they DEFINATELY fit the EJ18 rails.

You could always have custom rails made as long as the injectors seat properly, correct?

I guess you could, but would there be a reason to if other injectors fit our rails fine?

My understanding of his post points to the injectors not fitting our stock rails.

I think he is saying that the injectors fit the EJ18 rails. The EJ18 injectors fit in the EJ22T rails, and vice versa IIRC. They fit SOME Legacy rail, that I'm sure of at least.

I'm fairly convinced that the early STi injectors will drop into either the turbo rails, or at least the N/A rails, without any issue. The EJ18 rails will bolt to our cars, I'm pretty sure of that also.

1995 impreza L ej18 rails and 2004 impreza sti injectors side feed yellow tops. and they will bolt up to the legacy turbo intake manifold. sti injectors will not fit turbo legacy rails no chance.

plus you keep the same lines and fule pressure regulater.

no gas leeks from rubber hose and craking gas lines you will be shocked if you do this swap how easy it is.

one more thing i havent got to test them out cuz the motor is not in yet.

i got ej22turbo, alumin racing wrx rad, fidenza fly wheel 9lb, ported polished heads, headers, huge down pipe, chiped ecu very well done and bigger wrx turbo, with one huge intercooler.
will it all work good, if i just drop them in and crank up the boost, or do i got to set them up some how.

i was thinking that they would just spit the same path and a bit more or a lot who nows o well i got to wiat.

1995 STI IMPREZA L = (Lowkey). this car will be in every mag in north america. white base L modle LOOK OUT cuz u might see me in your rear mirrow and then SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS bye.

That's odd. The new-gen STi side-feed injectors do NOT fit in my friends 93 EJ18 rails, but the older ones do. The EJ22T injectors also drop into his rails.

Hmm... I wonder if they would fit the n/a 2.2 rails, too. I happen to have a n/a legacy I can swap with if that is the case.
