Door latch not working

Post by nicebloke »

My passenger side door latch isn't working. The only way a passenger can get out is to push and hold the lock whilst pulling the door latch. I suspect it's an easy fix, but I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I open the sucker up.

I did this with a chunk of wire quite a bit longer than a paper clip. Longer wire allows for more secure fastening. Has held up for 6+ months so far.

This only happens on my passengers side. It is almost like a practical joke I play on anyone who rides with me. Besides I am too lazy to take the door apart to fix it.

Heh, only happens on my rear doors. Wonderful when I've got people who've never ridden in my car there. XD
