Well i got back from iraq.. Yea! Went to pick up my car from the reseve center...and

My battery is dead, all my tires are flat.. So after 30 minutes filling the tires and a walk to the nearest auto parts store the car runs. But now she's (yes it a she..only a woman would give me such problems) pinging.. or at least i think it's pinging.. It's fairly audable, and it grows with the throttle.. so with the trannie blown as well, i towed it home..

Any ideas? i know, pretty vauge.

I'm gonna be tring a 2.0t/5spd Swap in a couple months and i was hoping to mothball the 2.2t for a rainy day project..or try and stuff it into the 86 RX.. But if it's going bad.. i'm not gonna keep it.

I know a couple of you will say just tow it to a dealership, and i do trust my dealership, but i got a cold air intake and a saab intercooler on it.. i know thier gonna say thats what the problem is, cause heaven forbid, any non subaru aftermarket parts actually improve it's performance....

Dunna know whats up.. any best guesses would help..
