rebuild questions

i drive a 1990 legacy L and i was wondering if anyone knew a site that sells
all the parts for a full rebuild, the motor has like 200k and i think itd be smart to rebuild it before i try anything fun... also i dont want to boost it for a while... whats the potential of this motor with no forced induction?

I don't think that theres that much out there for 2.2 N/A motors. Swapping in an EJ22T is prob. a better bet.

Could you turbo an n/a with the headers, uppipe, downpipe and turbo from a legacy ss?

Yes, but if you got all that stuff, you might as well go with the better engine (usually you'd have to get the engine to get that stuff anyway).

i was just curious, since i'm still planning on going with a garrett, im going to have the uppipe and most of that stuff taken off and replaced with the garrett kit. From what i've seen, the n/a engines arent that weak.

They're not as strong, but they don't lick balls. It is 9.5:1 so you won't be able to push too much boost.

so out of curiosity wheres a few sites that sell parts for our cars... cuz im prolly gonna stick with all motor for now.. and then just boost it.. i really dont know much about these motors so any help would be cool
also how much does an average ej22t swap run($$$).. as well as what mods would i need.. any sites would be helpful

For a 73k mi. turbo engine with turbo and including full top end rebuild, seals, new oil & water pumps, oil pan, and T-belt, I spent about $1200. I think it was about $760 for the engine.
