Try looking here:

www.car-parts.com

Search for a turbo legacy motor 1991-1994.

www.subaruparts.com has new motors for sale as well. I think Langston Subaru sells them for around $1500.

You'll need an ecu and wiring harness, as well as all of the exhaust components and turbo. But those can be found on the car-parts site as well.

Depending on who you get to do the install, I would say anywhere in the $1000 price range for the install.

Be forewarned that you will have a helluva time hooking up with a fwd tranny. I would suggest doing an awd tranny swap too, while you're at it. You can use any subaru awd tranny, but just make sure you get the matching rear diff as well.

I suspect if your going to do a complete wiring harness swap, which is the way to do it, it going to be more than a 1000$ for the install. Maybe not if you use your stock computer and piggyback controllers, but I don't know if that would work well...I'm just thinking it would be more from the prices I've seen for swaps of wrx engines and sti and such...but the prices were inclusive with parts and labour, so I don't really know how much the labour was, and they were some of the more known and respected places, ie, more expensive, but their work is supposed to be perfect.
Are you thinking about doing this yourself? and definately I agree on swapping the awd in at the same time! Hell, STI 2.5 and 6 speed and dccd...that would be cool! :D

I just did a similar swap with the EJ22t in my 95 Impreza. I paid $2100 for the engine, x-member, (almost) complete wiring harness, ecu, wrx downpipe/turbo/intercooler setup. I also had to get the legacy radiator, coolant resevoir, cooling fans, swaybar, a few sensors, and some other little things. Ive recently added an HKS downpipe and stromung 3'' catback. So, with the setup I have now, I'd say I've spent close to $4k. And thats doing everything myself.
