"Memo" or "For" line in checks

Post by LaureltheQueen »

I am retarded, and ended up thinking that someone stole my wallet while i was drunk at a party, so I called and cancelled all my cards(turns out they were in my car, at home) Anyway, I thought that they re-ordered them, so i patiently waited for my replacements to show up. They never did. 2 weeks later, I called back, and they said they'd re-order them, and then they got sent to my mom's address. :-/

Anyway, I've been using checks quite a bit lately, and was wondering if you ever write fun stuff on the "for" or "memo" line of your checks. I've always wanted to write "sexual favors" or "heroin"

I remember reading once that a woman who paid a speeding ticket with a check memo'd "Highway robbery fund" was actually found in contempt of court and forced to write another check.

I used to write checks for bills. Now with free bill pay with bank of america.....I write pretty much zero checks. It's great. I can even send payments to personal people. It rocks!

I have superhero checks. Superman, Wonder Woman, THE FLASH!, Batman, and Green Lantern.

I never write on the "for" line.
