In Japan, the XT and the SVX were refered to as the Alcyone model. I believe that there were three different XT style Alcyones: VS (N/A), VR (Turbo), VX (XT6), and then the Alcyone SVX.

My two favorite cars actually.

A man after my own heart MPtyza :). That's exactly how the model lineup is designated in Japan. Have you ever had an XT?

Nah, I've never had one, but I'd love to pick one up sometime in the near future as a second car. Like a FT4WD XT6 with a 5 speed, or maybe an XT Turbo something along those lines.

My friend who now has a 93 Impreza was going to pick up an '86 XT Turbo 4WD auto with something crazy like 33000 original miles a couple months ago for $150. The thing was freakin immaculate, and the spare tire looked new, never used. It was so cheap because it needed head gaskets, but we couldn't find a place for me to do the job. It was a damn shame to have to let that one go to auction.

I did ride in the back of an 88 FWD auto XT6 for about an hour, and I loved every minute of it. :)

I'm always reading through the forum on xt6.net though.

My XT Turbo is awesome. Its got 127,000 original km's on it. The air suspension went on it so I replaced them with regular struts and springs. The body was in showroom condition, until some guy backed into the passenger door in a parking lot. Its not to bad though. One cool thing is, it has the first "spyder" intake manifold Subaru has ever used.

I'd love to pick one up as a second car, but almost never see them anymore.

DUDE!!! Register over at the XT6 board.

Do you realize you have the RAREST XT in America?? You have what's basically an XT6 with an EA82T. You will be one of only two people on the whole board with such a car!

:D

P.S. Yes I know, I'm a huge geek
