Are we the next 'big thing'?
..To the car theft world? I've been hearing some things on the streetz, and it sounds like car thieves/chop shops are getting wise to AWD, turbo or not. After Hondas and Acuras, since nearly everyone and their uncle has one that's modded and whatnot, it's looking like 'the industry' wants to move on, and from what I've heard, Mazdas and Subarus are up next.
Anyone else hear the same?
And on a related topic, I want help figuring this out, for all our benefit, instead of paying the ~$5 it is to 'order' it from autospeed.

The MSD DIS-2 has an immobilizer feature which simply disables the ignition. I never used it, but it could be another reason for people to get one.

Yeah I don't use it either. I'd have to tie it into my alarm or something as well.

just out of curiousity, where did you hear about subarus being targeted more? I cant see older legacies being targeted for parts. stereos sure, but it seems to me stolen parts off of old hondas are a lot easier to move than stolen old parts off subarus. thieves are probably going to keep stealing the cars they can make a quick buck off of.
that wiring schematic is pretty cool, I might use it if I ever get another easily stolen car.

ANY car that's got any kind of modding potential and can be done so relatively cheaply is going to be a target, plain and simple.
The big boys (professionals) are going to be hitting the Porsches, Ferraris, etc. They need to be able to move the car quickly. . . usually offshore. . . to avoid being caught. That, and spending $20,000 for an exhaust system doesn't appeal to many ricer thugs.
