Will 03 Outback seats fit my 93 Wagon?

Hi there, my driver's seat is worn out in a funny way which makes my hip hurt after a bit, and I sourced a pretty sweet set of '03 Legacy Outback seats with power thingies..

A) will they fit the mounts in my 93 wagon?

B) will I be able to power them so that they do their thing?

I don't know about the fitment but I would think powering them shouldn't be much of an issue, assuming the controls are on the side of the seat (couldn't see them not being). You might have to splice a few wires and possibly run a few wires from the fuse box to power it though. Do the seats have power specs anywhere on them? My guess, just an educated guess, is that they probably draw enough amps that it'd be best to have them powered directly from the fuse box, someone with a little more off hand knowledge could probably tell you which circuit to tap into. BTW, that's one low milage Legacy you got there, nice find.

they should fit fine, I think pretty much any subaru seat will swap to pretty much any other subaru, with maybe the exception of the svx

Yes, I too want the L.L. Bean leather seats from an Outback.. I've seen 'em, frickin' hawtt.

mm. okay, well, I have no response.

Too bad wrecked L.L.Beans are hard to come by, and especially in the leather trim. It'd be awesome, though. I keep seeing those sexy Outback Sedans, which I really like, and they've got bucket-style backseats in some pretty spiffy looking leather. I'd cream myself everytime I'd get in the car if those were in my Legacy. And the power makes 'em even cooler. I'd gladly sacrifice the weight for the roll-clean-and-comfy factor.

Sorry I'm late to this topic, but before you swap to LL Bean seats you should try the passenger one. Nobody really cares about the passengers ass, but I find it unsupportive for legs. I'm about 5'11 and anyone taller seems to have this problem as well. The driver's adjusts enough to pretty comfy though.
And since the power could be wired up, I assume the heaters could be too? Dual stage butt warmers, mmm.

Why doesn't someone make butt coolers? I live in FL and it is farkin hot down here 24/7! A/C can only do so much.

Our 05 Aviator has 5 levels of heat and A/C. Only on the front two seats tho. The jag has heated front and rear seats but only one level.

I just tried to swap a set of 97' Legacy Outback seats into my 91' Legacy wagon and it would have worked but the seat belt shackle is not the same. I tried to swap the tracks but the newer model seat had a manual height adjusment that prohibited that from happening. If you can swap the seat tracks onto the new seat I would do so because the seat belt buckle is also connected to the track.
