EJ22 heat bolt size?

Post by Fishy »

Hey guys and gal(s),
I'm currently ripping apart an EJ22 just to see what's in there :D and when I got around to the heads it seems that Subaru decided to stick some whacky-ass inverse torx bolts on there. I do NOT have a socket to match these so I'll end up having to buy one probably. The question remains though, what size of whacky-ass inverse torx socket do I need?

Sorry if it's a stupid question but I searched and couldn't find it. Plus I don't have my manual yet which would probably tell me :)

they are just 12-point bolts, not Torx. Use a 12 point socket, I think 14mm but don't quote me on that.

Yeah, 14mm 12 point socket.
