relocating battery?

Post by kidwired »

I want to move the batt to the trunk.
Anyone done this?
where did you run cable?
what will I need?

I'm thinking batt box and 12' cable + connectors.

Mine is in the trunk.

You need the relocation kit from Summit, it comes with cable and some connectors. You also need a grommet for the firewall, a wire wheel, a fuse or circuit breaker, and a dry cell battery (you absolutely, positively, 100% cannot use a wet cell battery. It's a serious health risk).

Didn't take me very long.

I used a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. It makes it really really easy to reset my battery, simply flip a switch.

I recomend the mod, simply because it makes you badass and people ask where your battery is all of the time :)

thanks, I'll check the Summit kit.
I was thinking more of the wieght distribution and making some room for my IC ducts, its going in the drivers fender, like the snorkus.
