Rear speaker removal

Post by stipro »

How do you remove the rear speakers, do the grills pull off, or do you remove the entire tray?

remove the grill tops and get a shortie screwdriver to unscrew the speakers from the metal under the tray.

The reason I asked was because it seemed like the grills were really on there, and I didnt want to just rip them off. Thanks for the info :D

You have to remove the entire deck lid tray on the sedans.

You can't remove just the grills.

I've never taken the deck tray out.. I'm not even sure I know how to do that. I removed the speakers with a shortie screwdriver, and for the far-reaching one, I used a ratchet.. worked fine.

My speakers are gonna have to disagree with you on that one. I dont even know how to remove the decklid tray. Is it a folding rear seats difference?

I think my stock speakers had been replaced, so I dunno.

I didn't have to remove decklid tray on mine. I am actually making a new one, since the original one is disintegrating. I'm going to hide my speakers under some cloth, so it looks completely smooth on top.
