Well I got my ej20g conversion going, and thought all was great, it was running really rough, so I started to unplugging coils to see which cylinders were not firing, and 2 and 3 were not firing, I tried swapping the coils from the cyl I knew were working, but no difference, It's definitly 2 and 3 that are not firing. I hooked up a spare coil and spark is being created on both cyl so my next thought was injectors, so I unpluged both cyl 2 and 3, and again nothing. I took out the injector from 4 and put it into cly 2 and found out that now it won't run, so I've pretty much figures that injectors 2 and 3 are blocked, the engine sat for about 4 years. Does anyone know how I can check them, unclog them? Any sugestions form guys who have done swaps.
Thanks
Frazer

Do you think the injectors are plugged or the fuel rails/lines?
You can let the injectors sit in sea foam or some other solvent. That might work.

Hmm, I'll have to give the solvent trick a try, I didn't think of that.
I think the timing is ok, as I just replaced the timing belt. I just put the injector from 1 into 3 and the injector from 2 into 4, and nothing, it would not fire, so I swaped them back and it fired. This is strange to me, because I would have thought I would have had 2 and 3 firing, it cauphed, but nothing. Swaped them back and it ran.so that leaves me to beleive it's the injectors, they look clean and I can hear them clicking, but nothing. I also noticed that when I pulled the plugs this mornign they were soaked, so it has leaked all night, I replaced the o rings around the base of the injecter and hopefully that will stop that. So what do you suggest??O I almost forgot, I got a code 22 knock sensor this time when it fired up, I havn't had this before now.

I don't agree with your logic. If you know injectors #1 and #4 are working, and you switch them to cylinders #2 and #3 and now nothing works, it sounds more like there's a wiring problem.

That's a good question, and I don't much understand the problem
It sort of sounds like there's something wrong with #2 and #3, and the #2 and #3 injectors are bad. Dunno man.

Ok, Update, went and got a multimeter that beebs at me when it has good continuity and found out that my Map sensor was not grounded, or poorly grounded, so I bridged it to a ground wire and turned the key to find my battery is flat...urg. I'll update after it's been on the charger for a few days.

if you are having trouble figuring out what is firing and what isn't, it is much better to remove and clean off all the plugs every time you change something. It may be quicker to have extra plugs to play with.
If you turn it over multiple times without firing, the plug in that cylinder may get pasted over pretty bad, and may not fire even if it normally would. Especially true if the engine has been sitting and has a lot of gunk running around
lots of problems with no-start end up with fouled plugs, then nothing works, very frustrating and confusing
