Damn camels! Those things are like 3-stories tall when they stand up with your idiot friend on its back, forcing you to make a choice: screw your dumb friend and get the hell out like the cab driver warned or go with the suspicious Arab and your friend to nowhere in the middle of the friggin' desert.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

My time in Egypt, day 1. Prelude to being extorted for money behind the tombs of the pyramid builders.

Doubt I could've called anbody - I'd be surprised to find a working phone to use. I was too busy avoiding vermin while trying to see things. The main thing is that I wanted my body to make it back. For some reason, feeling I was surely going to be killed, my biggest concern was that body didn't become another mummy in the desert. That is one country I would recommend ONLY doing in a tour. I usually hate tours.

Yeah, so I was going to do a number of things today, until I went and slammed my pinky toe on my left foot into a Subaru part of all things (the turbo grill for the wagon that I've been meaning to get painted).
I've never been a morning person
So I've been keeping ice on it all day, but it's swollen and it still hurts, and the right side, the side nearest my other toe, is bruised. I'm 99% sure it's not broken, but I did kick that grill pretty hard. That said, I pussed out and didn't do anything today.

I was told breaking a toe is less painful than just smashing it sometimes. I'm willing to take their word than find out myself.

It's infected. You're going to die.
I'm glad you included that in the poll, I was thinking that should be an option when I clicked on the subject title
edit: holy shit, I thought this was a new thread...no wonder it went under the radar there...lol
