Those are droplinks to fit 90-92 Legacys. If you aren't going to use them I'd gladly buy them.

Yup.

I've been very happy with these tires. Dry & wet handling is superb. Wear has been pretty decent too. Handling hasn't really dropped off much as the tire has worn, which is a big plus. I've had them since december of 2002. They've got a little over 16,000 miles on them now, and I don't see any problem in keeping them till 20k or more. Tread life isn't great compared to an all season tire, but pretty decent for a good performance tire. Tire noise isn't too bad either. They do make a lot of noise on the dyno though :)

My only mild complaint is the sidewalls are a little softer compared to other performance tires. It's really not too big a deal though. They still handle extremely well.

Another big plus was the price. They were cheaper then comparable tires like the S-03's.

For what it's worth, I'll be getting another set when these go away.

Hmm, cool. I put a set on the SVX a few months back, I haven't been impressed. I was thinking it was because of the weight difference and tire size difference between that and the legacy, which has Yoko AVS ES100's. The SVX just doesn't seem to grip as well as the legacy. You'd think with wider tires, a level up in tires (max vs ultra high) and more weight on the tires it wouldn't slip as much. I dunno though. They do seem to wear well :)

So they're not gripping well?

What size is on the SVX?

One thing I have noticed is that they need a little heat in them before they start gripping really well.

They grip about as well as the worn RE940's that were on there before.

They're 225/50-16's.

Maybe that's what it is. I should try a spirited drive with them.

hmm....that's interesting to hear. I'd love to test out a few different tires on my car, but I don't have that kind of cash to dispose of.

I've wanted a set of the F1 GS DS's, but at $171 a pop for the size I need, I'll have to pass.
2009 Outback 2.5XT. 5MT. Satin White Pearl.
2009 Impreza 2.5i Premium. Blue.

What size do you need? I had wondered if they have gone up in price since I got them. I got them basically when they started selling them in the states. I got most of the reviews I read from European tests/reviews.
