Today I was out driving....

Post by dzx »

I did a good haul of 50 miles and was sitting at a traffic light in Boulder when there was a thump under the hood and the smell of burning antifreeze and the sight of smoke came from under the hood. So i pulled off as quick as possible as the temp gauge went beserk and shut er down. I popped open the hood looking for any hoses that might have popped off but didn't see any. Then....I looked at the radiator and the passenger side end tank was shredded, the damn thing blew up. What kind of crap is that? At a stop no less.

That may not fit. If it does cool.

I'm leaning greatly to having a custom aluminum radiator made

The stock radiators are plastic end caps. Aftermarket radiators, as far as I have seen, all have metal end caps.
