I get off the freeway and on to Bear Creek road, following a late model mazda pickup. This is usually bad news, but as soon as we get past the housing, he takes off. Shocked, i chase after, and he's by far the fastest pickup i've ever seen in the hills. Bear Creek road has a lot of sweepers, but some are tight 90 degree turns, and i haven't driven the road enough to know which are which. This pickup does, so i let my escort lead me into these turns far faster than I'd be willing to go. His (probably scary) entry speed was just perfect for me to copy, accelerate a bit, and let off, playing with lift off. Eventually we got stuck behind a fastback mustang with gtr500 stickers, which was cool, but we didnt get another go until we reached Boulder Creek, where he turned.
I went the other way, to come up hwy9. The stopsign forced me to get behind a row of about 8 Suzuki Swifts. Must be a meet. I tailed them up to the summit, a little slower than my normal pace (i am intimately familiar with the road) as the last two swifts are kind of tatty, and can't hang in the turns. I'm pretty sure that a stock Swift is faster than my car in a line though

While they were standing around the car i had followed went *pop* and proceeded to pee on the parking lot. I wasn't that interested in watching 6 people repair a radiator hose, so i left.
About 30 seconds later i saw the esprit v8 i keep seeing on 9. This is the forth time, and every time i give him a wave. This time he waved me first.

Came down 9 and into saratoga without further event, but comming down 9 is the coolest thing ever, so i was ok with that.
