Just sharing my great news

Post by MPtyza »

Well, I finally got the call today that I got the job I had been trying to get, and that I passed the drug screening (somehow :))

I'll be working at a cold storage facility, making $11.75/hr just for driving a forklift around moving pallets of ice cream. Though it is about -18 degrees F in there :D

So this means that I don't have to drive a crippled, only starts when it ain't too hot 11mpg Legacy too much longer, and can at least fix the major problems before selling. I hate having to drive it like that anyway.

Just thought I'd post my news, cause being out of work for two months really brought me down. I guess things are starting to look up again for me :) Heh, and only 6 days till I'm 21. All this within one week :P

Congratulations!

Not to derail but relating to what Sam was saying, I've been in electrical training at work and the trainer is a hilarious guy. Anyway, he's got these commercials, mock safety videos and stuff on his laptop that are hilarious. I can't remember where he dl'ed them from, some place like lime wire, but there was some funny shit. One was this trunk monkey video  . Has anyone seen the trunk monkey stuff.

Really? I thought it was pretty funny. Does that make me some sort of a sick twisted person? How can you not find the runaway chainsaw and guy chopped in half hilarious?

If I don't keep my trunk stocked with pepperoni, booze, and porn, my trunkmonkey gets irritable.

Cool. Forklift driving is fun, and pallets are easy.

Yeah, everything is all automated there and shit. The forklift system knows where all the pallets are, and just tells ya where to go and all that. I don't think it'll be too hard 8)

Just found out that even though I only started on Monday, I still get my birthday off as a paid holiday. So, I'm off tomorrow for my 21st.

Though I really don't feel 21. I really don't feel too much over 18 :)
