In The Dark-Interior Lighting Question...
When I installed my boost gauge I ran the wire for the lighting to the radio and it worked fine. I noticed a few days later that the lights for the tranny gear indicator were out right near the shifter. I assumed that I messed something up when I hooked up the boost gauge wiring but maybe not. So yesterday I took out the radio, disconnected the boost gauge wiring and checked all the fuses-nothing seemed out of place but the lights were still out. Not to mention part of my gauge cluster is out which is really really annoying. Anyone have any thoughts?

the light bulbs burnt out...... to replace the cluster lights you need to pull out the cluster, and there will be a bunch of brown or black things on the back, you twist them and they come out, then replace the bulb, and put them back in.
i think all the trim has to come out around the shifter to get at that light, it has a little bitty bulb that goes under the gear indicator thing.

couple things to check
Check the ATF level first. If it is low, it could cause your shift indicator lights to go out.
Check the tranny electrical connector near the tranny/firewall to make sure it is tight.
Also, if it is simply a burned out light bulb, then you can get a replacement led light for it at radio shack. Just make sure that it is for 12volt.

I'll check it out, thanks for the replys. Another question however, the climate control lights are different colors, some white and some pale green. It's like the bulb condoms came off or something if there were acutally any to begin with. Is it even worth the time to try to fix that problem too? I am really anal about the cars appearence and just looking at it while driving makes me crazy. Also, about the gauge cluster light, it sounds like it would be a pain to take out the cluster and maybe something that is beyond my mechanical skill. Just a thought.

In the HVAC unit, there are 2 bulbs. The both have blue bulb condoms.
I was planning on swapping mine out for a '94 unit and putting green condoms on new bulbs.
