Hello all,
I know i will be ridiculed for asking about an impreza here, but i picked up a fuel pump assembly from a 93 touring wagon, im starting to think my impreza pump is getting lazy or clogged...are the tanks the same enough to do a stait swap or just the pump?
and is the turbo legacy pump have a higher output than say an N/A??
Thanks
Cory

Yes,
The turbo pump has more output. No, it is not a direct drop in. You need to make a jumper harness to make the connectors work. And lastly, unless you have a ton of mods that include cams, you are just going to make your car run pig rich, get horrible gas mileage, and foul plugs way faster than stock. More gas does NOT automatically equal more horsepower...

It regulates pressure. If the stock regulator can not return enough volume back to the tank, pressure will rise and you'll run rich.

Hmm.... I may need a new FPR.
I dropped in a Walbro unit, and seem to be running rich since then. I know I get far worse fuel milage, and I thought it was my O2 sensor.
What pressure do our fuel systems run at? I know the newer Subarus run at a higher pressure, but I just can't remember the pressure.

You can get the fuel pressure info in the factory manual I posted in the stuff you need to know forum.
