Does anybody know of any intake that's made for a 1992 subaru legacy?
Would I have gains as a result of installing an intake on my car?
Also, has anybody installed a K&N Filter and felt any differenc ein performance?

I put in a K&N and don't know if there was much difference in power, but they don't need to be replaced and don't seem to be affected much by age like the cheap paper ones, so it's probably good from just a convenience point alone.
There are differing opinions on intakes with most seeming to prefer using the OEM airbox (myself included), you could search this info out on this site. As for me, I removed the snorkus and ran an intake pipe from an old Ford to a NACA duct in the front bumper a couple inches in front of the front wheel. Fits perfect into the bumper contour with a little heat-gun help. The duct was intended for brake cooling so I figured it would work. Did seem to give a little extra mid and top end, and haven't had any trouble with snow or rain (even ramming snow banks - just causes hesitation until cleared), but it's a possible danger to be aware of even if the intake is still about a foot off the ground with stock ride height. It looks good, subtle and functional, and the sight of it has scared off a few ricers and gotten a few questions.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
