Yes.

I'm sporting a set of '00 RS seats in mine right now.

dang, they never change stuff...its great! Do I need any special brackets or anything? Related question...I assume all the way up to current model year is the same (as far as fitment is concerned) but how far back in model years are the same?

as many have noted almost every later-model subaru seat will be taller in the cushion, and put your head closer to the roof. That's a deal-killer for me, I'd like to LOWER my seat 2" if I had the chance

I didn't have a problem. My main thing is I lost the height adjustability.

I'm fine, but now my brother doesn't want to ride in my car, which is an unexpected bonus.

corbeau seats. the reclineable ones are about 320 each with 80 each bracket. they lower the seating position about 2 inches. i put in a fix back forza. lowered the seating position about 3.5 inches

I keep my Legacy seat on its tallest setting as I am 5'6''...so a higher seat is fine.
